Storyline Online:

At Storyline, hear professional actors read favorite books out loud. 

KidLitTV has created a virtual library of free read-alouds, drawing and writing tutorials, podcasts, art activities, and reading resources for kids!

The Story Time from Space website has videos of astronauts in space reading books to the children of Earth. The videos are placed under the heading ”Story Time Videos.”

Accelerated Reader

Online AR is offered for our students.  Currently we are working to see if access can be enabled for home use - this involves getting permissions from the company.  Parents CAN use the Home Connect link on the right side of this page to view their child's test record, points, and word count.  You can also  sign up for email notification informing you of the results whenever your child completes a test if you desire.  Your child can tell you their username and password or contact the library or your child's teacher for this information.

End of the Year Medals:
AR will end approximately 2 weeks before the last day of school for students.  This allows us to get medals ordered for the awards ceremonies.  Students who earn the following points OR word counts  will receive a medal as long as they keep their comprehension average above 80%.

Kindergarten:  25 points OR 50,000 words
First Grade:  75 points OR 100,000 words
Second Grade:  200,000 words
Third Grade: 300,000 words
Fourth Grade: 400,000 words
Fifth Grade:  500,000 words

You can monitor your child's word count for the school year by logging into Home Connect.
